Elgin Parks & Recreation offers a number of fitness opportunities geared towards our active older adults included in the $15 Senior Recreation Center Membership:
- Chair + Mat Yoga with Melodie on Mondays from 9:15AM to 10:15AM. Learn how to use the chair for deep slow stretching and enjoy a gentle unwinding on the mat as you end your practice.
- Mind, Body, Spirit with Jackie on Wednesdays from 9:15AM to 10:15AM. This class is a mix of yoga, and meditation for full body and mind wellness.
- Tai Chi for Balance with Boaz on Thursdays from 9:15AM - 10:15AM. This class combines tai chi practices, stretching, balance, and mental focus.
- Slow Yoga Flow with Melodie on Fridays from 9:15AM to 10:15AM. In this class you'll practice balancing, breathing, stretching, and toning exercises.
- Tai Chi as Martial Arts with Boaz on Saturdays from 10:00AM - 11:30AM. This class teaches tai chi practices based on martial arts movements.
